Frequently asked questions about maintaining mastered targets in programs that are in acquisition (unmastered programs):
Which data acquisitions types (DATs) have maintenance capability? |
Acquisition target maintenance is available for discrete trial, probe and natural environment data acquisition types. |
Do I have to manually indicate which targets have already been mastered? |
No – the UnitusTI application has already marked mastered targets as such and they will be included in your maintenance executions automatically |
What percentage should I choose for stepback criteria? |
Keep it simple – if you configure one trial for each target, your stepback criteria can be anything less than 100%. |
Can I run maintenance targets without running the program? |
No – maintenance trials are optional in a given execution, but the current target must be completed to graph maintenance trials. |
What if a program has more than 10 mastered targets? How will the additional targets be maintained? |
UnitusTI will rotate through the targets systematically; if the maximum number of trials is set to 5 and a program has 15 targets, mastered targets 1-5 will be run in execution 1, 6-10 will be run in execution 2, and so on. If target 3 returns to acquisition, the next execution will include targets 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. |
I have prompts written into my targets but I don’t want to collect maintenance data on prompted targets. Is this possible? |
Yes – when configuring maintenance and selecting your targets, you’ll only select independent targets for your maintenance executions. |
What about targets that were probed out of a larger list? Are they automatically included in maintenance? |
No – UnitusTI does not currently offer a way to indicate whether or not a target was probed. |
Do all maintenance trials need to be entered to record data? |
No – while all trials for a current target must be completed to record data, UnitusTI does not require that all targets have data entered in order to graph. Any maintenance trials that are not recorded will appear at the top of the list in the next execution. |
What will my staff see once maintenance is enabled? |
Once the target maintenance module has been activated in your account, your staff will notice a new maintenance execution tab when running programs; however, they will not be able to run maintenance trials until maintenance is configured for that program (see image on next page). |
