2. Why the center catalog exists
3. Add a code from the national catalog (US)
5. Remove a code from the center catalog
6. Client chart and insurance (related screens)
This guide is for center administrators and clinical staff who maintain the center diagnosis catalog and add diagnoses on client charts.
1. Open Center → Diagnosis
- Sign in to UnitusTI and select your center.
- Open the Center menu.
- Choose Diagnosis .
The page lists every active diagnosis code in your center catalog: ICD code, display name, and whether the row came from the national catalog or was entered manually .
2. Why the center catalog exists
The center catalog is the approved list of codes staff can pick when documenting a client’s diagnoses. It keeps spelling and code choices consistent across the center.
- Center → Diagnosis — build and maintain the catalog (this screen).
- Client chart → Insurance profile tab — attach diagnoses to a client, add clinical details, and assign claim pointers (1–12) for insurance billing.
- Insurance → Patient — read-only summary for billing staff; edits open the client Insurance profile tab.
Centers that do not use Insurance can still use the catalog and client diagnoses for clinical documentation.
3. Add a code from the national catalog (US)
- On Center → Diagnosis , click Add from catalog (or equivalent search action).
- Search by code or description (US ICD-10-CM catalog).
- Select a row and confirm.
The code and name are copied into your center catalog with source catalog . Duplicate codes for the same center are not added twice.
4. Add a code manually
Use Add manually when a code is not in the national search or your center uses a local convention:
- Enter the diagnosis code (ICD-style, without dots).
- Enter the display name .
- Save.
Manual rows show source manual . You can still add the same code on client charts and (when applicable) map it to insurance claim pointers.
5. Remove a code from the center catalog
Use the row menu and Delete . Confirm when prompted.
Removing a code from the center catalog does not automatically remove client chart rows that already reference that code. Review client records if you retire a code center-wide.
6. Client chart and insurance (related screens)
After codes exist in the center catalog:
- Open Clients , select the client, and open the Insurance profile tab (edit mode to change data).
- Add diagnosis — pick from the center list, search the national catalog, or enter manually.
- Optional fields include severity, date, diagnostician, and care notes.
- For Insurance claims, set Claim pointer to a number 1–12 for each code that should appear on professional claims. Up to twelve distinct pointers can be active per client.
The insurance claim wizard uses only client diagnoses that have a claim pointer assigned.
For payer data and a read-only diagnosis list, use Insurance → Patient and Open client profile to edit on the chart tab.
7. Troubleshooting
